What are some easy anti-inflammatory diet recipes? With millions of Americans faced with daily pain from swollen joints and inflammation associated with arthritis, I decided to write a cookbook to help fight arthritis. I knew I could create simple, delicious recipes that would help fight inflammation and I understood the the importance of giving people easy anti-inflammatory diet recipes. We know a variety of foods are important to include in anti-inflammatory recipes. These easy anti-inflammatory recipes fight inflammation and ease the symptoms of arthritis.
Three Favorite Easy Anti-Inflammatory Diet Recipes
I had so much fun cooking up some simple and delicious anti-inflammatory recipes at WWL-TV! in New Orleans. I knew immediately which recipe to prepare on TV. One of my easiest and most popular recipes in my arthritis cookbook is Salsa Chicken. This is a quick Mexican chicken dish with salsa and only four ingredients. Serve it over rice to take advantage of the tasty southwestern sauce. Sometimes, when suffering from arthritis, it is difficult to use utensils. The Philly Cheese Steaks allow you to enjoy eating by using your hands and avoid the pain that sometimes comes with gripping a fork or knife. One of my favorite bar cookies combines spice cake, yams, and chocolate chips together to make Yam Chocolate Spice Bars All of these recipes are from my book trim&TERRIFIC Eating Well to Fight Arthritis. Guacamame Makes Easy Quick Dip
Combining avocado with edamame makes this wonderful delicious and nutritious dip that can be served with chips or veggies. This dip has fantastic flavors and everyone loves it. This easy recipe is from my arthritis cookbook with a focus on inflammatory recipes
Makes 10 (1/4-cup) servings
1 large avocado, (about 2/3 cup mashed)
1 1/2 cups shelled edamame, thawed
2 tablespoons lime juice
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
1/2 cup salsa
3 tablespoons nonfat plain Greek yogurt
Salt and pepper to taste
1. In food processor, combine all ingredients, mixing until smooth.
Terrific Tip: Can also use to stuff vegetables or as a sandwich spread.
Nutrition Nugget: Soybeans are high in omega 3 fatty acids, which are necessary to ingest through food for their anti-inflammatory benefits.
