Mediterranean Layered Spread-Super Dip for Super Bowl
Whenever I have company, a metting or crave my favorite spread, I turn to this reicpe. When the people behind Jumpstart came to my house…of course, I whipped up this appetizer. I was delighted to be asked to support them–their goal is to label healthy food in the grocery stores and to have healthier meals in the schools. So, of course, I served food to the group. This is my favorite entertaining recipe and best of all, I am having the leftover dip now with a glass of wine. You will be hearing lots about Jumpstart with me in the near future. And, every time I entertain, I alawys make this as my go-to recipe-no one can believe the recipe is from my diabetic cookbook–and believe me, I have calls for people searching for it.
This captivating dip layered with fantastic flavors is a show-stopper! Feel free to double this recipe and watch it disappear. Serve with Toasted Pita Wedges.

Terrific Tidbit: Look for different containers of flavored hummus to give this recipe extra punch. If you can’t find this container size, just buy the bigger one, use 7 ounces-then serve the rest another day!

You did it! You started a blog! It looks wonderful. I’ve done a similar dip to this before with a cream cheese base underneath the hummus. Not quite as healthy, but darn good!
