My Two Timesaver Christmas Recipes
When it comes to the Christmas meal, with all the shopping, family in town, and parties, I have two favorite recipes to include all the holiday traditional dishes simplified into two recipes.
Cornbread Dressing or Yams–enjoy them both in this great Yam Cornbread Dressing. Pick up already made cornbread to crumble, and the natural sweetness of our Louisiana yams combined with the hint of curry spice, and toasty crunchy pecans make this a winner–in fact, I make this recipe year round…best of all the recipe is from my diabetic cookbook, making it the healthiest of recipes.
How can a Christmas table be complete without a Pecan Pie, Sweet Potato Pie and Gingerbread? Well, my Yam Pecan Pie in Gingersnap crust from my latest Louisiana cookbook takes care of all your sweet cravings with one time-honored classic.
