Real food, real easy… for real people. This motto guided her in creating her trim&TERRIFIC® cookbooks and Eating Well cookbook series. Holly has sold over one million cookbooks. Her passion for eating healthy led to her Healthy Cooking Blog. Clegg attended the Cordon Bleu Cooking School , London. However, she specialized in everyday, healthy easy recipes for over 25 years. She believes in healthy cooking the easy way! She understands the demands of a busy lifestyle. However, her desire to feed her own family health-conscious, homemade meals was the driving force. Holly was ahead of her time because she believed their was a correlation with health and food years ago. Today, her passion paid off making her a best-selling healthy cookbook author.
More Health Focused Cookbooks
The prevalence of diabetes, cancer and arthritis influenced her Eating Well Series. These more health-focused cookbooks still included easy mainstream recipes. Clegg worked with the American Diabetes Association for her diabetic cookbook. Eating Well Through Cancer celebrated its fifteen year in publication with a new updated and expanded edition. Eating Well to Fight Arthritis focuses on an anti-inflammatory diet to help with arthritis pain and symptoms. She believes what you eat makes a difference in better health.
Holly’s recipes prove you can cook healthy, quick and delicious homemade meals. She answers your food cravings with yummy healthy easy recipes. Most importantly, her recipes never sacrifice flavor and still maintain nutritional balance. In the spirit of quick, she solved the question of what to prepare for dinner! Holly believes in one-stop shopping and pantry-friendly ingredients. The recipes are around 10 ingredients and less than thrity minutes.
Clegg’s unique southern flare and delicious recipes led to national apperances. She was featured on Fox & Friends, NBC Weekend Today Show, The 700 Club, D-Life on CNBC, and QVC. Holly appeared again on The 700 Club in November, 2016. She was featured in USA Today, WebMD, the Huffington Post, AOL, and The Daily Meal, among others. Her honors included one of the Top Louisiana Chefs of 2011 by The ACF of New Orleans. She recently was honored by The Baton Rouge Epicurean Society with the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016.
Holly did extensive spokesperson work. She worked with Walmart creating healthy cooking webisodes. She appeared on the Jumbotron in New York City for a Teflon promotion. Here’s more information on her spokesperson partners,
She lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and took advantage of her southern heritage. She cooked and lived in the heart of some of the best seasoning and local ingredients. Her books have southern charm and familar recipes. There is a recipe sampling on her blog. She tests all her recipes and hopes to see you in the kitchen!
