Impress everyone with my simple Greek layered spread and my go-to and make-ahead Mediterranean Hummus Dip recipe. It makes one of the best Mediterranean appetizer recipes and always a guaranteed hit. Fresh and simple! I never get tired of eating this dip and I hope for leftovers. You can also add your favorite ingredients and sometimes I add chopped spinach.
Makes 16 (2-tablespoon) servings
1 (8-ounce) package reduced-fat cream cheese
1/2 cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt
1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
2 teaspoons lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste
1 1/2 cups roasted red pepper hummus
1 cup chopped tomatoes
1 cup chopped cucumber
1/3 cup chopped green onions
1/4 cup crumbled reduced-fat feta cheese
3 tablespoons sliced Kalamata or black olives
1. In bowl, blend together cream cheese, yogurt, oregano, garlic, lemon juice and season to taste. Spread on large round serving plate.
2. Carefully spread hummus over cream cheese. Sprinkle evenly with remaining ingredients and refrigerate dip until serving time.

Terrific Tip: Serve my Mediterranean hummus dip recipe with pita chips or sliced vegetables. Make your own pita chips and cut the pitas into 6 triangles and bake at 375 ̊F. for 5-7 minutes. Really easy to do!
