Favorite Fall Recipes

So many things about this time of year have me craving that warm and cozy feeling, cooler weather (finally!), memories of endless nights at the ballpark, pumpkins and colorful mums popping up on door steps everywhere, and {grand}kids giddy with the thought of trick-or-treating. October has so much to look forward to which is why I wanted to share some of my most warm bowl, coffee sipping, autumn aromas, sweet tooth satisfying comfort meals. Enjoy these recipes together for a fall favorite meal or serve them individually.

Chunky Corn Chowder with Kale and Sweet Potato

  • Naturally sweet and savory flavors combine for a hearty delicious vegetarian chowder.
  • This satisfying meal is vegetarian or add cooked chicken for protein.
  • Just one cup of kale has 5 grams of fiber, 15% of your daily recommended calcium intake, 180% of vitamin A, and 200% of vitamin C!
  • If you want the soup a little thicker, dissolve two teaspoons cornstarch in a little water and add.
  • After refrigerating leftovers, if too thick, add more broth.

Artichoke Bread: Trust me, this bread is ‘melt-in-your-mouth’ good!

  • How could this divine bread be diabetic? Yet it is!
  • Pairs great with any dinner and leftovers make a great snack.
  • Use a serrated knife to cut bread easier.

Apple Caramel Spice Bars: A cross between an apple crumble pie and a spice cake – my absolute FAVORITE dessert this time of year.

  • Cut in bars or squares and serve warm with frozen vanilla yogurt for the ultimate treat!
  • I love to keep these pantry friendly ingredients on hand to whip up and make the house smell good enough to eat!

Slice and Bake Chocolate Chip Cookiesturned into a Spooky Halloween Cookie Cake!

  • Turn Slice and Bake Chocolate Chip Cookies into a Halloween Spider Web Cookie Cake
  • So cute yet SO easy and the kids will LOVE to help!
  • Ok, yes, you can substitute the slice and bake cookies from the grocery but I promise the cookie cake won’t taste as good or be as good for you!

Have you tried my 6 Ingredient Crawfish and Corn Soup?

  • A family favorite for years, this satisfying soup is so easy – just open cans and stir!
