Thai Beef Lettuce Wraps
A tangy, spicy meat mixture with toasted sesame seeds wrapped up in lettuce leaves for a quick-fix meal. This is one of my easy, healthy Thai beef recipes for a quick dinner.

Ingredients
  • 1pound ground sirloin
  • 1cup chopped onion
  • 1/2teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/2teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 3tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1teaspoon grated fresh ginger or 1/4ground ginger
  • 1tablespoon sesame seedstoasted (buy already toasted)
  • 1tablespoon seasoned rice vinegar
  • 1/2cup chopped green onions
  • Boston or red tip lettuce leaves
Instructions
  1. In large nonstick skillet, cook meat, onion, and garlic over medium heat 7 minutes, or until done. Drain excess grease.

  2. Stir in pepper flakes, hoisin sauce, ginger, sesame seeds, vinegar, and green onion.

  3. Divide mixture on lettuce leafs, wrap to eat.

Terrific Tip:  One of my favorite tips is buy already toasted sesame seeds which is a time saver!  You can find the toasted sesame seeds in the spice or Asian section of the grocery.
