Whatever your favorite pie, homemade or purchased, this simple recipe for Honey Pecan Topping will turn it into the best southern pecan pie pumpkin or sweet potato pie ever. You can make your pie from scratch and put this topping on at the end, but if you are one of those that doesn’t like to bake desserts, you can pick up a pumpkin or pecan pie or any favorite and just make the topping. Spread on the pie, broil (watch carefully) and now, you have a homemade pie.My Chocolate Pecan Pie from Gulf Coast Favorites will rival any other recipe!
Honey Pecan Topping from Holly Clegg’s trim&TERRIFIC Gulf Coast Favorites
This fabulous topping is a show-stopper and jaazes up any recipe making this the best southern pie recipe you will ever taste.
Makes 8-10 servings
1. In small pot, combine brown sugar, butter, and honey.
2. Cook over low heat until comes to a boil, stirring. Stir in pecans. Remove from heat.
3. During last 5 minutes of baking, remove pie from oven, spread topping evenly over top of healthy pumpkin pie recipe. Return to oven, broil until topping is bubbly and golden brown, watching carefully.

I am a Pecan Pie Addict
For those that don’t know that this is my very favorite dessert ever, I have no willpower. Especially when I eat a piece up in the microwave! OM,G is it delcious. Yes, I have slivered away half a pecan pie and here’s my proof! At least it was trim & terrific!!
