My Girls Cooking on WBRZ-TV Noon Show Favorite Christmas Recipes
Love every December featuring my favorite Christmas recipes. I have taken my girls on television with me for as long as I can remember. This Christmas holiday both girls were in town and I was doing TV. So, I said, come on you are going on TV with me to cook some of our favorite Christmas recipes. With no preparation but cooking second nature to them, they were wonderful and nothing is more special than sharing my cooking segment with Courtney and Haley. After all, they call me all the time with cooking questions, so I had to call in my favor with them. I just wish they were in town to cook with me every year on my Holly’s Holiday TV series. You can always find all my healthy easy recipes on my healthy food blog! Here’s a sampling.
Courtney’s Family’s Favorite Christmas Recipes
Both my daughters cook and use my healthy easy recipes. Yes, we all cook trim & terrific! I thought it would be fun to share some of their favorite recipes. She is my daughter that loves rice so she is always making my Chicken and Sausage Gumbo. I usually make it for Christmas Eve but you will find us all having the leftovers for breakfast Christmas morning. I think she uses this Spinach Artichoke Dip not only when she has friends over but also for lunch. My Best Banana Bread recipe has always been a favorite. She usually adds chocolate chips to the recipe and this is her quick breakfast. However, it seems whenever she has ripe bananas, she gives them to me to make the bread for her! Did you know ripe bananas freeze to pull out to make this yummy banana bread recipe on your own time frame?
Haley’s Favorite Christmas Recipes
Haley has quite the cooking reputation in San Francisco and is known from high school to now for the Ooey Gooey Squares from KITCHEN 101 cookbook. She has been making these cake butter squares for as long as I can remember. Actually, now they are my husband’s favorite cookie too. Any time she is in town, her top request is BBQ shrimp. And, I will be making it for her this holiday season too. Holiday season or not, she told me she usually whips up my Salmon with Spinach Feta Stuffing for an impressive easy meal. Anyway, they are both the best daughters and good cooks! How fun sharing my television appearance with them.
