Did you know when you are cooking with meat to make sure and look for the leanest cuts. Your ‘leanest cuts of beef end in a “round” or “loin.” You got it-ground sirloin, pork tenderloin, ground round. Sometimes, the lean ground beef is even better for you than ground turkey depending on your turkey mixture you buy. I don’t use a lot of filling but Panko bread crumbs and an egg to hold it together. To Grill or Not To Grill My Asian Burgers
Honestly, these homemade burgers are so good you don’t even have to grill them. I know it is hard to believe but we don’t grill a lot. I wish we did! So, I usually end up cooking my Asian burger recipe in a nonstick grill pan. I do think grilling makes everything taste better but I promise these are delicious even without a grill. I love my grill pan and if you don’t have one, I think you will enjoy it. Be sure to get a nonstick grill pan like these below.
Make My Asian Burger Recipe Ahead of Time for Meal Planning
I know everyone is into meal planning these days and I get it. We are all busy but that’s why I only include quick healthy recipes in KITCHEN 101! I make up my ground meat mixture for these Asian burgers and wrap individually in plastic wrap before cooking. Then I put them in a freezer-plastic bag and keep in my freezer to pull out for a last minute great homemade burger. Whether you put on the outside grill or use a grill pan, you have a great hamburger recipe.
Turn Asian Burgers into Asian Hamburger Sliders for Parties
Ok, I love my Asian Burger recipes so when it comes time to entertaining for parties or tailgating I make Asian Burger Sliders. Basically the same recipe but I top the Asian burgers with this simple delicious Pineapple Salsa. You can also add a little extra hoisin sauce to glaze the burgers.
Servings 4 Asian Burgers |
- 1 pound ground sirloin
- 1/4 cup Panko bread crumbs
- 1/3 cup chopped green onions
- 1 egg lightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh ginger or 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- pepper to taste
Ingredients

- In large bowl, combine all ingredients until well mixed. Form into four patties. Grill or cook in skillet until done.
