List of Healthy Foods that Heal Inflammation
Did you know that if you eat the right list of healthy foods, these are foods that heal inflammation? So maybe you are thinking, what are your top must have foods that you should always keep in your fridge? I have 3 delicious foods with omega 3 fatty acids and foods high in antioxidants as a source of vitamin C to keep on hand that help fight inflammation! All of these delicious easy healthy recipes are from my Eating Well to Fight Arthritis cookbook.
Salmon is One of Best Foods with Omega 3 Fatty Acids
Salmon is probably my number 1 must have food to keep in the fridge. If you don’t eat salmon, it’s great to add to your diet because its packed with omega 3 fatty acids. Salmon is one of the best foods with omega 3 fatty acids so it is important on the list of healthy foods that heal inflammation. Your body absorbs them much better through food than through an omega pill.
Oven Baked Salmon from Eating Well to Fight Arthritis Cookbook
Salmon is quick cooking and so easy to make. One of my favorite recipes is my Oven Baked Salmon with Spinach and Feta Stuffing. You can also cook salmon in a skillet so easily like with my Glazed salmon 4 ingredient recipe with a sweet glaze. Raw salmon lasts in your refrigerator 1 – 2 days after purchase date on package and cooked salmon lasts about 3 days.

My number 2 must have food to keep in the fridge is edamame. If you are not a fish fan, no problem! Try edamame or maybe you know it as soybeans. Edamame is another great option of foods with omega 3 fatty acids which we know that these are foods that heal inflammation. Edamame is low in fat and high in fiber and protein.
Guacamame Recipe Perfectly Blends Edamame and Avocado
I have so many ways for you to enjoy edamame. You can find edamame fresh or frozen and shelled in the grocery to toss in recipes. I like to eat edamame for a snack by the handful. I also have a great dip in my arthritis cookbook called Guacamame. It blends avocado and edamame for a creamy nutritious dip. From pastas to salads, edamame is delicious and versatile on the list of healthy foods. Edamame lasts in the refrigerator up to 4 days.
Citrus Foods High in Antioxidants – Good Source of Vitamin C
My number 3 must have on the list of healthy foods to keep in your fridge is citrus. Oranges, limes, grapefruits and lemons are a great source of vitamin C. Research shows that citrus foods high in antioxidants, vitamin C, are foods that heal inflammation and also plays an important role in growth and tissue repair. Start your day with a glass of orange juice as a source of vitamin C. Have grapefruit for a morning breakfast or even a snack. Add lemon or lime juice to a variety of recipes as ways to add foods high in antioxidants, from salads to marinades – like on this Kale Salad with Fruity Vinaigrette. Citrus will last in the refrigerator for several weeks to one month.
