Honey Pecan Topping
This fabulous topping is a show-stopper and jazzes up any recipe making this the best southern pecan pie recipe you will ever taste. Here’s my Chocolate Pecan Recipe but you can use your favorite pie and just add the topping.

Ingredients
  • 3tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 1tablespoon butter
  • 3tablespoons honey
  • 1cup pecan halves
Instructions
  1. In small pot, combine brown sugar, butter, and honey.

  2. Cook over low heat until comes to a boil, stirring.  Stir in pecans.  Remove from heat.

  3. During last 5 minutes of baking, remove pie from oven, spread topping evenly over top of healthy pumpkin pie recipe.  Return to oven, broil until topping is bubbly and golden brown, watching carefully.
