Mini Muffaletta Recipe

All it takes is four easy ingredients and 15 minutes for you to prepare my popular version of this Louisiana favorite Italian-style sandwich, mini muffaletta recipe  Make this easy muffaletta recipe ahead of time and refrigerate or freeze until ready to bake. I prefer the miniature Hawaiian rolls but you can use the larger Hawaiian Rolls. The key to the recipe is the olive mix and here’s another great recipe using the Olive salad mix is my Muffaletta Pasta Salad.

Ingredients
  • 2(12-ounce, 16-20 to a package) packages party-size rolls
  • 1/2pound thinly sliced lean ham
  • 1 1/2cups Italian five-cheese blendshredded
  • 1(16-ounce) jar chopped Italian olive saladdrained
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven 375°F.

  2. Split rolls in half, lay on baking sheet. Divide ham, cheese, and olive salad onto each roll.

  3. Replace bread tops. Bake 10-15 minutes or until cheese is melted.

TERRIFIC TIDBIT: Any combination of cheese may be used such as mozzarella, provolone, or Parmesan. Remember, freeze Muffalettas before baking. Here’s the brand of Olive Salad Mix I use but you can usually find an Italian mixture on an olive bar and then just chop it up.
