- 6 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
Ingredients

- In mixing bowl, beat butter, confectioners’ sugar, and brown sugar until combined. Add vanilla and egg beating until creamy.
- In small bowl, combine flour and baking soda. Add to sugar mixture and beat until well mixed. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans.
- Mold dough into two 12-inch logs and wrap in plastic wrap in refrigerator 1 hour.
- When ready to bake preheat oven 350°F. Coat baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray. Cut dough into about 1/2-inch slices and place on prepared pan. Bake 8 minutes or until done.

Holly, I love the idea of making the slice and bake down go into a large cookie cake. Would you use half or all of the dough for one large cookie? How long would you recommend baking it?

I think I used the whole recipe for the pizza pan. would bake it at 350 and check after 10 minutes. It depends how thick your crust is as there are different size pizza pans when it is done. Thanks for taking time to write and enjoy the recipe
