What is Hoisin Sauce? Serve My Thai Lettuce Wraps Recipe with Hoisin Sauce!
I love Hoisin sauce. Hoisin sauce is used in Asian recipes and I love it with this Thai Lettuce Wraps recipe. Though not similar in flavor, hoisin sauce is often thought of as Chinese barbecue sauce. It has a thick texture, dark color and variety of dipping and marinating uses. Hoisin ingredients can vary but the base contains soybean paste, salt, spices and sweeteners – lending savory sweet flavor to these wraps that just melts in my mouth. Plus, this Thai beef lettuce wrap recipe is made with a crunchy lettuce leaf – the perfect light spring to summer meal to leave you satisfied not stuffed! I think you’ll find my favorite Thai beef recipe healthier with lots of flavor and simple to prepare.
