Snacking Strongly Encouraged with Peach Smoothie

Snacks For Cancer Treatment

When going through cancer treatment, snacking is not only permissible but strongly encouraged. Smoothies make an excellent snack when your mouth is sore or you prefer odorless foods. A creamy cool smoothie can soothe the mouth and is an easy way to add nutrition. This velvety Peach Smoothie from Eating Well Through Cancer cookbook makes a great smoothie or even a cool soup!

Peach Smoothie
This velvety, exceptionally easy and delicious peach recipe makes a great smoothie or soup.
Servings 4 (2/3 cup) servings
Ingredients
  • 1 can sliced peaches drained, 14-ounce
  • 1 cup nonfat vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup orange juice or peach nectar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons sugar optional
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
Servings 4 (2/3 cup) servings
Ingredients

  1. Place all ingredients in food processor or blender, blending until smooth. Refrigerate.
