She appeared on 107.5 in Dallas with the lovely Ana Cruz. So, she brought all her ingredients to the station and everyone got a taste. The recipe selected was from the High Protein/High Calorie chapter in Alimentándose bien durante el cáncer book. She decided to prepare Picadillo Santiaguero. This is an English recipe for Cuban Style Ground Beef. Everyone raved about this scrumptious dish packed full of great flavors. Best of all, the family will enjoy the meal. I think this recipe will be a go-to dinner. This meat dish has a smoky, salty, slightly sweet flavor and has a Cuban influence. PICADILLO SANTIAGUERO from Alimentándose bien durante el cáncer
Un plato increíble repleto de sabores especiales: salados, ahumados y dulces. Se puede servir con cuscús, envueltos en tortillas mexicanas, etc.
Ingredientes para 7 porciones (una taza por porción)
1 1/2 libras de solomillo de ternera sin grasa y molido
1 cebolla picada
1 pimiento verde sin semillas y picado
1 cucharadita de ajo picado
1 cucharadita de orégano
1 cucharadita de comino en polvo
1 lara de salsa de tomate de 16 onzas (1 ½ taza)
1 taza de patatas peladas y cortadas en cubitos
1/4 taza de aceitunas verdes picadas en rodajas
2 cucharadas de uvas pasas
1. En una sartén grande antiadherente cocine la carne con la cebolla, el pimiento verde y el ajo hasta que la carne esté lista. Añada el orégano, el comino y la salsa de tomate.
2. Llévelo todo a ebullución y reduzca el fuego. Cocínelo cubierto por 10 minutos. Añada las patatas y continue cocinándolo cubierto de 10 a
15 minutos más o hasta que las patatas estén blandas. 3. Añada las aceitunas y las uvas pasas. Cocínelo de 5 a 10 minutos más.
