Homemade Candied Pecans Best of DIY Christmas Food Gifts

Wait Until You Try Holly’s Homemade Candied Pecans

All throughout the year homemade Candied Pecans make excellent gifts. DIY Christmas food gifts are extra special during the holidays. Sweet and salty snacks are always a winning combination and this easy Candied Pecans recipe from Guy’s Guide to Eating Well cookbook cannot be beat! Holly made it on WBRZ 2une In show and Team Holly can’t wait to share it with you all.

Candied Pecans or Walnuts
Craving sweet and spice and everything nice- -I’m talking about these wonderful walnuts.
Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 5-7 minutes
Servings 8 (1/4 cup) servings
Ingredients
  • 2 cups pecans or walnut halves
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 5-7 minutes
Servings 8 (1/4 cup) servings
Ingredients
  • 2 cups pecans or walnut halves
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven 375°F.
  2. Spread pecans or walnuts on baking sheet and bake about 5-7 minutes or until golden.
  3. In small bowl, combine sugar, salt, garlic powder, cumin, cinnamon, and cayenne.
  4. In nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add nuts and stir to coat with oil. Add seasoning mix, stirring until nuts coated. Remove to paper towel to cool.

Serving Suggestion: Toss in salads, serve on cheese trays or as snack.
