The month of October is upon us, and it has me thinking of eating healthy with pink recipes for Breast Cancer Awareness. Of course, it is about pink food and recipes! Cancer awareness, prevention and treatment is close to all of our hearts as breast cancer as probably touched each of us in some way. If you want to let someone you love dearly know you they are special and that you are thinking of them, then Think Pink this month! What is Breast Cancer Awareness?
According to Wikepedia the definitiion is: Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM), also referred to in America as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM), is an annual international health campaign organized by major breast cancer charities every October to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure.
Go Pink in Your Recipes for Breast Cancer Awareness
There are many ways people go pink in clothing but what about recipes? Did you know they even have pink food coloring? I found Neon food coloring which includes pink!! I’ve used the Neon pink to turn many favorites into pink recipes! Here’s another pink food coloring I just found. Turn any recipe pink with food coloring for a fun treat. Here’s my favorite and most simple King Cake recipe made with crescent rolls for a fun, delicious and easy-to-make treat. My most popular king cake recipe is a perfect recipe to go pink! I look for excuses to enjoy this favorite year round! Also, don’t save my Pink Heart Cake recipe just for Valentine’s Day! You can also turn this recipe into a Strawberry Layered Cake.
