Easy Avocado Dip Recipes with a Healthy Surprise Ingredient

Looking for the best Super Bowl snacks but trying to stick to that healthier diet? Avocado made the list again of top Super foods! You definitely want to make these avocado dip recipes from my Too Hot in the Kitchen cookbook for all of the upcoming football playoff games and Super Bowl parties! Avocado is an easy choice for me as it is my very FAVORITE food and these easy avocado recipes are the right ingredient choice to please a crowd and your figure. Edamame is the surprise ingredient that adds crunch and sneaks in a nutritional boost combined with powerful flavors into one mouthful of avocado bliss.

I just received a list of 2018 Super Foods and of course, avocado was on the list!
Servings 8 servings
Ingredients
  • 1 (about 2/3 mashed) cup large avocado
  • 1 1/2 cups shelled edamame thawed
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon jarred jalapenos
  • 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1/4 cup nonfat sour cream
  • salt and pepper to taste
Servings 8 servings
Ingredients

Instructions
  1. In food processor, combine all ingredients, mixing until smooth, and serve immediately.
