Slow Cooker Beef Brisket Recipes Make Best Brisket Recipes

How to cook a beef brisket-in my easiest healthy cookbook!
A brisket is a cut of meat that needs to cook a long time to get tender. Look for a trimmed brisket at the grocery as it will be much leaner! Brisket with Mango Barbecue Sauce from KITCHEN 101 is absolutely delicious and bascially cooks itself. Yes, you can cook the brisket in the oven. However, slow cooker beef brisket recipes are simple, tender and the dinner cooks while you’re gone. Whether you prepare my best brisket recipes in a crock pot or the oven, just start the recipe and forget about it.
You can easily turn your leftover brisket into another meal by making sliders or tacos. Also, brisket freezes well so freeze in servings to pull out for last minute meals. To make these delcious brisket sliders, fill sweet rolls with brisket and add Brie and red onion. I had brisket served this way in St. Louis at a restaurant and thought it might have been the best sandwich ever.
Brisket with Mango Barbecue Sauce from KITCHEN 101 cookbook
Finger-lickin’ best brisket recipes with a surprisingly few amount of ingredients. Serve with this irresistible Mango Barbecue Sauce as an entrée, sandwich or make brisket quesadillas for a knock-out recipe.
Makes 10 (4-ounce) servings
3 pound brisket, trimmed
1 tablespoon chili powder
2 teaspoons garlic powder
Pepper to taste
1 (12-ounce) can diet Dr. Pepper
Mango Barbecue Sauce (recipe follows)
1. Preheat oven 300°F.
2. Season brisket with chili powder, garlic powder and pepper. Place in roaster or slow cooker. Pour Dr. Pepper over top. Bake, covered, 5 hours or until tender. Serve with Mango Barbecue Sauce (see recipe).
Mango Barbecue Sauce
Keep in the refrigerator to serve with any grilled meat.
1 onion, finely chopped
1/2 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/3 cup mango chutney
1. In small pot coated with nonstick cooking spray, sauté onion until tender. Add remaining ingredients, cooking over low heat 10 minutes.

Terrific Tip: Cook in crock pot on low 8 hours.
Serving Option: Brisket Quesadillas
Use leftover brisket to create your next night’s meal! Easy to make and everyone will love your quesadillas. Lay out tortillas and cover with shredded brisket, 1-2 tablespoons Mango Barbecue Sauce, Brie and red onions. Top with another tortilla. Cook in heated skillet until bottom is crisp, flip over, and cook another 1-2 minutes. Cut into fourths.
Slow cookers are the best when you are busy all day. This brisket recipe below is a great slow cooker choice and in KITCHEN 101 I include a chapter called Crock Pot Convenience Chapter. If you don’t have a slow cooker, I like this 7 quart, progammable and reasonably priced slow cooker.
