I love making my fabulous Mango Chutney Spread recipe from Too Hot in the Kitchen cookbook because no one knows what to expect. With only six ingredients, this mildly spicy mango cream cheese spread appetizer tantalizes every taste bud with each bite. I really wanted to share this mango chutney recipe on my healthy food blog.  Every time I make it, everyone always asks for the recipe.  Best of all, if you ever need a quick last minute appetizer, this mango chutney spread recipe will impress! All the flavors come together to create a “party in your mouth.” It is the best of mango chutney recipes with a light curry flavor, salty bacon, crunchy pecans and spicy mango chutney.

Forget Making Mango Chutney Because You Buy It At the Grocery!

Now, you know I create healthy easy recipes so I keep cooking simple.  There’s no need to make mango chutney because you can find it in the grocery.  I have always used the Major Grey’s Mango Chutney.  In fact, I remember doing a demo at a grocery with this dip and they sold out of the jars of Mango Chutney.  Once everyone tasted this divine dip, they now knew what to do with a jar of mango chutney. Fancy flavor and simple-to-make!



Mango Chutney Spread Recipe from Too Hot In The Kitchen 

Surprisingly simple with six ingredients and you have this mild sweet, spicy, and salty spread, (opposite flavors attract) that tantalizes every taste bud in each bite. Make ahead of time and refrigerate this divine Mango Chutney Spread recipe. Serve with crackers.

Makes 16 (2 tablespoon) servings                                                                                                      mango chutney spread recipe

1 (8-ounce) package reduced-fat cream cheese
1/2 teaspoon curry powder
2/3 cup mango chutney
1/4 cup chopped green onions
1/4 cup chopped pecans, toasted
4 slices cooked turkey bacon, crumbled

1. Mix together cream cheese and curry, spread on serving plate.
2. Carefully spread chutney over cream cheese layer.
3. Sprinkle with green onions, pecans and bacon. Cover, refrigerate until serving.
