Looking for a healthy comfort meal this winter your whole family will love?  My kids never liked cabbage so I decided to sneak cabbage into a delciouos easy cabbage casserole. I created this easy slow cooker cabbage roll casserole from  KITCHEN 101with meat, rice, marinara sauce and cabbage all layered together into this delicious casserole.  I reccommend using ground sirloin in this recipe because meat ending in a loin or round is the leanest cut of meat. The cabbage almost disappears in this easy cabbage casserole and the touch of sweetness resembles cabbage rolls.  Everyone raves about this stuffed cabbage casserole recipe.  Start eating healthy with my healthy easy recipes!

Easy Cabbage Casserole Made in Crock Pot

Stuffed Cabbage recipes take hours to make and I love comfort food.  I decided to create a slow cooker cabbage rice casserole because then I don’t spend time in the kitchen cooking!  My stuffed cabbage crock pot recipe makes the perfect New Year’s Day meal and it makes a great dinner any time of the year. Slow Cooker Cabbage Roll Casserole from KITCHEN 101 cookbook

All the components of cabbage rolls combined into this scrumptious effortless casserole. Who doesn’t have time to toss ingredients intKITCHEN 101 in chicken sausage jambalayao a crock pot? My crock pot cabbage roll casserole might be the easiest New Year’s Day recipe.  You can also add black-eyed peas and I usually add them.

Makes 8 (1-cup) servings

1 1/2 pounds ground sirloin
1 onion, chopped
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3 cups instant brown rice
1 (16-ounce) bag cole slaw
1 (24-26-ounce) jar healthy marinara sauce
1/4 cup light brown sugar

1. In 3 1/2-6 quart slow cooker, insert plastic liner if desired. In large skillet, cook meat, onion, and garlic over medium heat and cook until meat is done, about 7 minutes. Drain any excess liquid. Add pepper.
2. Add met with remaining ingredients to slow cooker. Cover and cook on LOW 4-6 hours.
